According to a preliminary investigation by the Rehovot Police Department, the accident occurred during the filming of a video for the boy's Bar Mitzvah.

It has yet to be established whether the 13-year-old was driving the vehicle or riding it while someone else was behind the wheel.

Earlier Wednesday, seven people were killed as a result of car accidents, in what was the deadliest day in Israeli roads since May 2012.
Two women were killed when their respective cars crashed, one driving her husband, on leave from jail, back to prison, the other going on vacation with her family. The women's children, who were in the cars, were injured in the crash.
Three other people, a woman and two men, were killed in three different crashes across the country, and two other people, a 17-year-old boy and an 80-year-old woman, died of their wounds after injured in car accidents.
