For unknown reasons an argument ensued, during which the Eritrean national claimed he was ill. The argument then quickly deteriorated and became violent; the second man pulled out a knife and proceeded to stab the victim a number of times in his abdomen.
Bleeding, the Eritrean managed to take a number of steps only to collapse to the ground afterwards.
An eyewitness alerted the police and successfully descried the assailant, who was arrested but a few minutes after their arrival. He was found in possession of the knife.
The Eritrean was evacuated to the Tel Aviv Sourasky Medical Center, however doctors were unable to save him and were forced to pronounce him dead.
The suspect will be taken to the Tel Aviv District court for a remand hearing on Saturday night.
