A Border Guard
officer, 28, shot his wife, 28, to death Sunday at their Bat Yam
apartment and then shot himself.
Paramedics at the scene attempted CPR at the wife, a warden with the Israel Prison Service, but pronounced her dead at the scene.

The man was evacuated to hospital, but was also pronounced dead.
According to preliminary police investigation, the husband called his wife's brother and told him: "I shot your sister. Come over, I'm about to kill myself."

Ayalon Police Chief Commander Yehuda Dahan said that since the crime involved security officials, the investigation will be held in cooperation with the police internal affairs department.

Yaniv, the couple's neighbor, said that he had heard screaming and stepped outside, where he saw the couple's son led downstairs by a relative. "I went into the apartment," he added, "and saw two people – a body near the balcony and a bleeding man with a gun next to him."
The neighbor added that the two, Golan and Sivan Cohen, had moved into the building recently and that he had seen them argue before.
Police suspect the couple's son was present during the shooting.
