Piron to Ynet: Haredim accept education system terms
Education Minister Shai Piron told Ynet in response to the agreement he reached with Shas leader Aryeh Deri that "this is a historic night. Haredi schools will be subject to standardized testing and core studies in order to gain funding."
According to him, the Education Ministry will establish a network of State-haredi schools in order to create an alternative: "For the first time the haredim are accepting the terms of the education system." (Attila Somfalvi)
