The chairman of a large Bnei Brak
foundation, dedicated to raising money for people who cannot afford medical procedures, was arrested Monday for suspicion of embezzling
funds donated to the foundation.
In a covert investigation of the police fraud unit, investigators found that the suspect, 50, has been lobbying businesspeople and public institutions and managed to raise thousands of shekels for people in need of urgent medical care, including children.
