MK Barakeh: Knesset is racist legislation machine
Knesset Member Mohammad Barakeh (Hadash) commented on a bill proposed by MK Ruth Calderon (Yesh Atid) whereby the Declaration of Independence will possess the legal status of a basic law, therefore instating Israel as the country of the Jewish people by law.
"We don't need laws that are designed to establish the hegemony of the majority, but need to protect the minority when racism rages. The Knesset has become a racist legislation machine," Barakeh said. (Moran Azulay)
