Thousands take streets in protest of Zimmerman acquittal
According to French news agency AFP, thousands protested Sunday night in New York's Times Square following the acquittal of George Zimmerman in the shooting death of unarmed black teenager Trayvon Martin.
Protesters also gathered in Los Angeles and confronted police forces. News website LA Times reported that one person was detained. The Huffington Post reported that some 200 protesters blocked a main road in the city and hurled bottles at the police. (Ynet)
