Earlier this week, the two alleged victims, who are not sisters, arrived at a Netanya police station and filed a complaint against their grandfather for sexual offenses to which they were subjected when they were children.
The two noted that the suspect had used various occasions in which they were under his supervision to sexually abuse them. Both added that he had told each one separately – one seven-years-old at the time and the other, eight-years-old – that they must keep everything a secret.
The complainants said that only several months ago they discovered they were both harboring the same secret for so many years and decided to file a complaint.
Following the complaint, police launched an investigation into the circumstances and the suspect was arrested. He will be brought Thursday to the Petah Tikva Magistrates Court for a remand hearing.
