Appeal against AG over remarks on Rabbi Eliyahu
An appeal has been filed with the High Court of Justice against Attorney General Yehuda Weinstein following his statement that Safed Chief Rabbi Shmuel Eliyahu's candidacy for chief rabbi was "unsuitable."
The petitioners claim Weinstein is overstepping his authority excessively intervening in the elections for chief rabbi and is hurting Eliyahu's chances to get elected. (Aviel Magnezi)
