Palestinian Prime Minister Rami Hamdallah has retracted his resignation and agreed to work to form the next Palestinian government after meeting with Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas. Nabil Abu Rodina, Abbas's spokesman, said that Palestinian law mandates the government be formed within five weeks time.
Two months ago, Hamadallah handed in his resignation only 18 days after being appointed in wake of reported tensions with Abbas regarding appointments of deputy prime ministers. (Elior Levy)
