The Jerusalem Magistrates' Court convicted Sheikh Raed Salah, head of the Islamic Movement's Northern Branch of incitement to violence and acquitted him of incitement to racism.
The case against Salah was based on a 2007 speech he made in the Temple Mount in which he said, "Our best moments will be when we meet God as martyrs." A riot ensued and three Border Guard officers were wounded in the clashes. (Aviel Magnezi)
