Lebanese report: Rebels killed Assad palace security chief
Lebanese newspaper Al-Mustaqbal reported that the rebels have killed the general in charge of security at Bashar Assad's Presidential Palace in Syria.


Opposition sources quoted by the paper said that the general was in charge of securing Assad's entourage, among other tasks. A video of rebels claiming responsibility for the event was put on the internet. However, the report has yet to be confirmed by any other source. (Roi Kais)
