US hoping for framework agreement from Kerry's next trip

A US State Department spokesperson said that the administration hopes Secretary of State John Kerry, who leaves for Israel on Wednesday, will succeed in reaching an agreement on a framework agreement that could be used to help focus the talks on the way to a final agreement.

Spokesperson Mary Harp refused to respond to reports from Israel regarding the Israeli government's plan to start new construction in the settlement. She said the best way to respond, until there's an official announcement, is behind closed doors and without official pronouncements. (Yitzhak Benhorin – WASHINGTON)
