Foreign Ministry workers union announces general strike
The Foreign Ministry's workers union announced that it began a general strike as part of the employees' battle for improved working conditions. All 103 embassies, consulates, and delegations across the world will be closed, including the headquarters in Jerusalem.

Chairman of the union, Yair Frommer, said that the Finance Ministry had "declared war on Israel's foreign service and the dedicated diplomats fighting for the future of Israelis day-by-day, hour-by-hour." (Attila Somfalvi)
