Abbas moves to join UN bodies in sign talks falling apart

Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas signed a document faciltating membership requests for Palestine in some 15 international bodies within the UN, in a move which could indicate peace talks have come to an end.

Abbas announced the move Tuesday after a meeting with US Secretary of State John Kerry who is currently attempting to salvage peace talks, and seemed to indicate the latter's efforts had failed.

"We are not doing this against the US, this is our right. We never agreed to waive our right," he said. (Ynetnews)
