Federal prosecutor Kurt Schrimm, told reporters Tuesday his special Nazi war crimes office is preparing to recommend that state prosecutors pursue charges against the suspects in the next two weeks. Schrimm's office has no power to file charges itself.
Lead investigator Thomas Will told The Associated Press that the suspects - men and women -
all live in Germany, but that the probe of other former Majdanek guards is ongoing. About 1,000 possible suspects are being investigated overall.
