Indictment: Security prisoners planned to abduct a soldier

Southern District State Prosecution has filed seven indictments at Beer Sheva District Court against five Palestinian prisoners accused of planning to abduct a soldier for the purpose of negotiating the release of additional prisoners.

According to the indictment, one of the prisoners, who is jailed for two consecutive life sentences, contacted other inmates in order to execute the attack.

Hamas was supposed to arm and fund the operation via a contact whose job was to transfer weapons, cell phones and cash to inmates who had served their time. (Ilana Curiel)
