Tom Dugan, who wrote and stars in "Wiesenthal," will present the play from October 24- February 1, at the Acorn Theatre at Theatre Row.
Jenny Sullivan will direct.
Wiesenthal was a Holocaust survivor who helped track down numerous Nazi war criminals following World War II and then spent the later decades of his life fighting anti-Semitism and prejudice against all people.
Wiesenthal spent more than 50 years hunting Nazi war criminals, speaking out against neo-Nazism and racism,
and remembering the Jewish experience as a lesson for humanity. He estimated he helped bring some 1,100 Nazi war criminals to justice.
The play, which has been seen across the country, will be produced by Tony Award-winner Daryl Roth and Karyl Lynn Burns. It portrays the aging Wiesenthal as he welcomes his final group of students to the Jewish Documentation Center in Vienna, Austria.
