Hamas defies humanitarian truce, fires rockets at South

Iron Dome intercepts 5 rockets over Netivot and Ashkelon, 5 others fall in open areas in Ashkelon, Be'er Sheva.

Hamas continued disregarding the humanitarian truce they'd asked for on Sunday afternoon, firing a heavy barrage of rockets at the Israeli south shortly after 5pm, some half an hour before the ceasefire was to end.

The Iron Dome intercepted four rockets over Netivot and one rocket over Ashkelon. Another rocket hit an open area in Ashkelon and four more exploded in open areas near Be'er Sheva.

Gaza militants maintained their incessant rocket fire on Israel on Sunday morning, as Code Red sirens blared in cities and towns from Netivot to Herzliya. Iron Dome intercepted two rockets fired on Be'er Sheva, while three rockets aimed at the city fell in open areas.

Starting from 9 am, air raid sirens wailed in Ashkelon and the Hof Ashkelon Regional Council. It was reported that a rocket fell in between homes, causing no injury. An Iron Dome interception was also reported, as well as a rocket falling in an open area.

In the same hour, Code Red sirens were also heard in the Sharon area, including Ra'anana, Ramat HaSharon, Hod HaSharon, Rishpon, and other areas. At least a portion of the salvo was intercepted, and fragments fell in north Tel Aviv, including near the university. Damage to a vehicle was reported, but there was no information regarding injuries.
