US: FAA lifts flight ban to Israel

The US Federal Aviation Administration removed Thursday the ban it imposed on American airlines regarding flight to Ben Gurion airport in Israel. The administration said that the decision was made after a security assessment.

On Tuesday, following the rocket fire at Yahud, the FAA instructed the local airlines to stop their flight to Israel.

The instructions were given following a rocket attack at Israel during which one of the rockets landed only one mile from the airport," the FAA said in a statement.
