Reopened trial of former-PM Olmert has begun

The reopened trial of former prime minister Ehud Olmert has begun.

Olmert was convicted of fraud in a separate case a few months ago, and Tuesday's hearing was part of what is called the "Talansky trial", named after Morris Talansky, an American businessman suspected of funneling illegal funds to Olmert.

Shula Zaken, Olmert's former office manager, is set to testify against Olmert and present the court with recordings. Olmert will also testify, serving as a witness for the defense.
