Syrian rebels offer to join int'l forces in fight against ISIS


A spokesperson for the Free Syrian Army, the main rebel force fighting to oust Syrian President Bashar Assad, said the group and other rebel forces it represents are willing to participate in the fight against the Islamic State (formerly ISIS).


In a statement made to the Turkish news agency Anatolia, he said the forces were fighting against the Islamic State in northwest Syria, but had recent retreated because of lack of equipment.
