While the IDF did release several videos from the infiltration of Hamas terrorists to Kibbutz Zikim during Operation Protective Edge, a presentation that leaked - causing the army embarrassment - shows the troops exchanging fire with the terrorists and eliminating them, as well as new videos from the incident yet to be seen.
One of the videos shows one of the terrorists running towards a tank and planting an explosive device on it. The presentation says the explosive went off, but that fortunately, no extended damage was caused.
Another slide details the equipment the terrorists, who came from the sea, were carrying: A sealed bag for their weaponry, a canister of sodium hydroxide (caustic soda) and a depth gauge.
An IDF spokesman said: "The leaking of this internal IDF investigation is a serious incident, which will be investigated and handled accordingly and not through the media."
On July 8, during the first 24 hours of Operation Protective Edge while rockets were fired all the way to Tel Aviv, five Hamas commandos infiltrated Israel through the sea to attack either civilians or troops. Military officials said at the time that lookouts identified the infiltration and called troops to the scene.
The troops killed two of the terrorists, and found and killed the remaining three later on in searches of the area.
At the same time, a volley of rockets was fired at the area to distract from the terrorists' infiltration, and residents of the area were asked to stay indoors.
