The Nazareth offices of MK Hanin Zoabi were broken into overnight Saturday by unknown assailants, who caused damage to the office and stole computers. MK Zoabi says she thinks she was personally targeted as no other computers were stolen.
Police forces arrived at the scene and began their investigation , but no arrests have yet been made.
"We knew about the break in from the morning but we don't know who did it," Zoabi told Ynet. "This is very serious and I hope the police will find the burglars and bring them to justice."
Balad party youth activists who arrived at the party's headquarters Sunday morning found that the place had been broken into. In addition to Zoabi's computers, a television set was also taken.
"We were surprised to discover the burglary," Zoabi said, adding that "this is a very serious incident and at face value does not seem criminally motivated (but rather political) as no computers from any other room were taken, and those that were stolen were old and had no monetary value."
Zoabi said that though the police took over an hour to arrive, she hopes they will conduct a serious investigation.
