Police Judea and Samaria commander quits over allegations of improper relationship with policewoman
Police commissioner Yohanan Danino announced Saturday that he accepted the resignation of Judea and Samaria District Commander, Maj.-Gen. Kobi Cohen, after it was made public that Cohen is suspected of having an improper relationship with a policewoman under his command.

The Police Investigation Unit has been investigating the allegations and during his questioning on Thursday, Cohen admitted to the accusations
against him.

In his letter of resignation, Cohen said his decision to retire from the police came from him being "someone who served in the police for 33 years, and a commander who knows how to take responsibility, who cherishes the organization and those serving in it and who regrets that - and does not desire for - the investigation against him to cause any sort of harm to them."
