Mentally ill Palestinian man beaten to death during exorcism
A young Palestinian man died Tuesday, after being beaten by "healers" during an exorcism, according to police and medical sources in Hebron.
The 19- year-old is said to have suffered from psychiatric disorders, which led his family to seek the healers, a man and a woman, who according to police sources; allegedly beat the man violently to exorcise the "spirits."
The young man, from a village in the southern West Bank, was taken to a Hebron hospital early Wednesday, where he later died, according to medical sources. The two healers were arrested, as well as the victim's father and brother.
