Attorney General Yehuda Weinnstein has recommended to an internal legal and social security committee that the state compensate the family of Habtom Zerhom, the Eritrean was was lynched during a terrorist attack at Beer Sheva's central bus station.
Because Zerhom entered Israel illegally he is not entitled to compensation under the law as a victim of terrorism. Nonethelss Weinstein believes his family is entitled to receive damages.
