The Israeli man, 35, was standing at the hitchhiking stop, which has been the site of ten terrorist attacks in the past two months. Magen David Adom paramedics treated the wounded man and he was sent to Hadassah Medical Center in Jerusalem's Ein Karem.

The attacker was identified as 16-year-old Mamoun al-Khatib from the village of Doha in Bethlehem.

In two additional incidents on Tuesday, two Palestinian women were stopped at IDF checkpoints near Efrat in Gush Etzion and in Hebron after it became clear they were each carrying a knife.
