Syrian Foreign Ministry reports breach of cease-fire by rebels, as Russia pushes to make deal public

The Syrian Foreign Ministry reported Tuesday that there have been several breaches of the Syrian cease fire that Russia and the United States had brokered after marathon talks in Geneva last week. The breaches have been carried out by rebel forces within war-torn the country.

Despite the cease fire's shaky beginning, the Russian Foreign Ministry is expressing its confidence in the deal and is pushing to make

its details public. Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov told reporters on Tuesday that Moscow wants the deal to be made public, but that the US opposes such a move.

Lavrov added that Russia "has nothing to hide" and wants the UN Security Council to formally approve the Syria truce deal, as well.
