Pakistani police say gunmen have stormed a police training center in the country's southwest, wounding at least six people.
Baluchistan police chief Ahsan Mahboob told reporters late Monday that four gunmen attacked the training center in a suburban area of the provincial capital Quetta. He said the attackers attempted to enter a hostel housing the trainees, and a gun battle erupted when the hostel guards resisted. Six trainees were wounded.
Mahboob said quick police and paramilitary forces surrounded the venue to eliminate attackers and rescue the under trainees.
