Police Commissioner Roni Alsheikh said Sunday that the incident last week in Umm al-Hiran, in which police officer Erez Levy was run over and killed, was a terror attack.
"I called the driver a 'terrorist' because what our eyes saw was a vehicular terror attack, and there is no evidence at the moment to contradict that," he said.
The driver, a resident of Umm al-Hiran named Yacub abu-Alkian, was shot to death after driving his car into a group of police, killing one.
