Terrorist who carried out March stabbing attack arrested

Muhammad Ahmad al-Hadiyeh, a 30-year-old member of Islamic Jihad from Bethlehem, was arrested after stabbing a Jewish man, lightly wounding him near Beit Jala in March 2017.

An investigation by the Shin Bet revealed that Hadiyeh stabbed the man in retaliation for the death of the terrorist Osama Asas, who was killed while being arrested in 2003 by the Palestinian security forces.

He was arrested and released by Palestinian security forces before being detained by the Shin Bet and IDF.
