Hamas spokesman to UN chef: 'Punish Israel for its crimes.'
Hamas spokesman Fawzi Barhoum said that the visit of UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres was suspicious "in light of the siege on the Gaza Strip and the increased harm done by Israel to the Palestinian people and their holy sites."
Barhoum added that "there is no excuse for Guterres ignoring of the suffering of the sick, the families of the prisoners and the homeowners whose houses were destroyed (by Israel—ed)," and called on him to press for lifting the siege on Gaza and to "punish Israel for its crimes."
