2,000 M16 rounds and 24 grenades were stolen from IDF base

Unknown assailants broke into a military bunker at the IDF base in the Upper Galilee and stole a large number of weapons on Tuesday night. The stolen loot includes some 2,000 M16 rounds and 24 grenades.


The base, in which the breakout occurred, serves as a reserve division for the IDF Northern Command. During the night, the area was thoroughly searched to locate the thieves' escape route.


The stolen loot has not yet been found, and a joint investigation is being conducted between the Military Police and the Israel Police.
