The latest round of reconciliation talks between Hamas and Fatah has ended.
Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh said the sides reached the agreement thanks to Egyptian sponsorship of it. Later Thursday a press conference will be held at the Egyptian intelligence headquarters in Cairo announcing the details of the agreement.
Palestinian sources told Ynet the sides only discussed a unity government and how it would operate in the Gaza Strip, administering and controlling the border crossings into Gaza and slashing the salaries of Gazan government employees.
It appears this round of talks excluded discussions of Hamas disarmament.
