Reports: Israel attacks Iranian base near Damascus
Arab media outlets reported Israel attacked an Iranian base near the town of Al-Kiswah, 15 kilometers southwest of Syrian capital Damascus.
Sky News reported that jets launched surface-air missiles from Lebanese airspace at the base. BBC revealed the base's location three weeks ago.
The jets launched five missiles, three of which Syrian antiaircraft systems shot down, media affiliated with President Bashar al-Assad's regime reported.
