African country compensated by Israel to receive thousands of asylum seekers
Israel compensated an unnamed African country last month in return for its assent to receive thousands of Eritrean and Sudanese asylum seekers residing in Israel.
While it remained unclear whether the teal has been completed in full or expected to continue in the coming days and months, was intended to procure the African country's agreement to pose at the "third country" in the migrant expulsion plan.
