Chief of Staff condemns signs against battalion commander of Samaria

Security forces arrested on Thursday several people who posted signs and handed out flyers inciting against Samaria Battalion Commander Col. Gilad Amit.

Chieff of Staff Gadi Eisenkot condemned the incident, saying it caused him "great sorrow that extremists chose to mark Independence Day in such way."

Ministry of Defense Avigdor Lieberman also condemned the acts, calling them "a disgrace."

"We will act to ensure those responsible will be held accountable," he tweeted.
