Israeli drug smugglers arrested for sabotaging cameras on Egyptian border
Shin Bet and police arrested eight Israeli citizens last month, all of whom resident in the Bedouin village of Bir Hadaj in the Negev, on suspicion of sabotaging IDF cameras along the Egyptian border to aid in their drug smuggling operation.
One of their smuggling attempts, an IDF combat soldier was killed after his tank was rushed to the scene and fell into a ravine.
The eight were charged, with five of the suspects indicted for serious security offenses.
