Police and IDF forces thwarted a terror attack on Sunday, Jerusalem Day, arresting a Palestinian armed with a knife at the Qalandiya checkpoint, it was cleared for publication on Thursday.
The Palestinian, a Nablus resident in his 30s, aroused the suspicion of the troops at the checkpoint after presenting them with an expired entry permit. They searched him and found the knife hidden on his person.
His remand was extended by eight days. He is facing charges of attempted murder, the illegal possession of a knife, and making preparations to carry out a terror attack, among others.
