Hamas leader in Gaza, Yahya Sinwar, admitted Wednesday that the organization had submitted a proposal regarding Israeli captives, and that progress would be made in the near future.
Sinwar said that Egypt would continue its efforts for calm in the region, even at the price of renouncing a Palestinian reconciliation.
"We do not want a military confrontation, but we are not afraid of it either. We can launch all the missiles we launched on Operation Protective Edge in five minutes. The tunnels have grown since the war, and the rockets are larger and more precise," Sinwar added.
