IDF: Man arrested crossing the Gaza border is a member of Hamas

The IDF reported Friday that it arrested a Hamas member who crossed the Gaza Strip border into Israel unarmed.

“The suspect approached the security fence in the northern Gaza Strip” said the IDF statement, “then, under constant IDF surveillance, he crossed the security fence and subsequently surrendered himself to the troops who arrived at the scene”.

“Following an initial investigation by security forces, the suspect appears to be a member of the Hamas terror organization,” said the statement.
