IDF strikes Iranian military targets in Syria

IDF fighter jets struck Iranian Quds Forces military targets in Syria, in addition to Syrian aerial defense batteries, on a Sunday night sortie.

According to Russian sources, four Syrian soldiers were killed in the IDF’s attack, after more than 30 missiles were launched towards several targets near the Damascus airport.

The attack follows an Iranian surface-to-surface rocket launch from Syrian territory aimed at the northern Golan Heights on Sunday. The IDF's Iron Dome aerial defense system intercepted the rocket, but the Mount Hermon skiing site, recently opened after heavy snows, was closed to the public until further notice.
