Report: Osama bin Laden's son and heir is dead

The U.S. reportedly has acquired intelligence that Hamza bin Laden - the son and heir of Sept. 11, 2001 attacks mastermind Osama bin Laden - is dead.

NBC News says three American officials have confirmed that the U.S. has information on bin Laden's death, but that the three declined to provide any further information on where or when he died or if the U.S. was involved.
