Thyssenkrupp CEO visits Yad Vashem

The visit, which centered around the memory of the Holocaust, is an apparent attempt by the German conglomerate to improve its public image in Israel after its involvement in Case 3000

Thyssenkrupp CEO Guido Kerkhoff arrived in Israel on Monday for a brief visit that lasted a few hours and centered entirely around the memory of the Holocaust.

Kerkhoff visited Yad Vashem Holocaust Museum in Jerusalem accompanied by German Ambassador to Israel Dr. Susanne Wasum-Rainer.

Kerkhoff toured the Hall of Names and laid a bouquet at the Hall of Remembrance, in memory of the six million Jews who perished in the Holocaust.

Kerkhoff also toured the Holocaust History Museum and signed the museum's guest book.

Kerkhoff closed his visit saying that, "it is incumbent upon us to remember this horrible crime and fight anti-Semitism."
