Israel's northern border is the security challenege the country faces, IDF Chief of Staff Lt.-Gen. Aviv Kochavi said Thursday.
"Israel's central strategic challenge lies in the northern arena," Kochavi says.
"The focus will be Iranian and other forces now based in Syria and the precision missile project. In both cases, it is an Iranian-led effort, using territory of extremely weak governments. For many years, Hezbollah has held Lebanon captive and established its own army there."
