Stop allowing non-military cameramen into some operational zones, make this a priority, like in Iraq/ US/Afghan arena, rarely do we see operational footage. the reason is twofold, one, because war is ugly and most ppl would rather not have to see it and two, as in this case and most b tselem videos the footage is taken out of context, re-edited, and made into a clip that looks particularly viscious when in fact its a very common thing to see this kind of violence in context, and even more violence like shooting, bombing, knifing, stoning--this is reality of war, however sad. Its also pretty damn scary walking down those streets in a uniform when every one is looking at you and wants to grind you into a bit of chop meat, one develops a tough skin, and remains in high alert, ready for battle. There should be limited camera use by non military personel and more camera use by the IDF itself, to show its side.

It was clear he refused to sit down when the officer attempted a leg sweep. Maybe, just maybe, if he had sit down and followed orders, his nose would not be broken? It is the same in the US. It is unlawful to disobey an order from a law enforcement officer. You can be arrested for simply refusing to show an ID when asked for it by an officer. We didn't see the whole story there, obviously the soldier was angry with this teen for something. I get the impression that at first at least the soldier may have felt threatened in some way or the teenager had gone out of his way to anger him and then afterwards he realises his mistake and agrees to be submissive by which time its to late.

Not only can't I find any head-butt on the video, I can't find anything near the amount of blood one would expect from a head-butt to the face. In my experience, noses broken by fists or foreheads are pretty bloody injuries, with a free flow from the nostrils that covers a large part of the lower face and most of the shirt. There's no such blood flow evident here... could it be that this is another phantom injury? We all know how honest the PA medics are when it comes to describing injuries and their causes...

I also don't see any head butt but at the same time Krav Maga teaches you to use all of your body as a weapon not just your fists so a head butt is possible. An advantage of the head butt is it allows you to use your hands to keep the enemy controlled and you can use your head as the weapon to fight. Head butt or not there is defantly more to this than some angry soldier who decided to attack this kid just for the hell of it and to much of it took place out of the sight of the camera we caught just part of it.
