Lawyer: U.S. Imam who hid terror group ties ready to leave
A U.S. mosque leader who is facing possible deportation for hiding ties to terrorist groups is ready to leave the country, his lawyer said Wednesday.
Lawyers for Imam Fawaz Damra have been negotiating in hopes of finding a country where he would be willing to go and that would accept him, said Mosabi Hamed, who represented Damra in a U.S. immigration court in Detroit. (AP)
