Far Right presents: Sharon in pajamas

Rightist party uses PM's medical condition in election campaign phamplets

The far Right has wasted little time in attempting to use the prime minister's medical condition in the general elections campaign. Phamplets distributed in Jerusalem show Ariel Sharon wearing pajamas in hospital, with intravenous needles.

Anti-Sharon pamphlet

A week after Sharon was hospitalized in Jerusalem's Hadassah Ein Kerem hospital after suffering a stroke, and on the day the prime minister's doctors updated the nation on his medical condition, informing the public that Sharon will undergo a catheterization treatment for his heart in a number weeks, the National Jewish Front party, headed by Baruch Marzel, decided to present its own view of the situation.

A heading over the picture reads: "A sick leader for a healthy country?"

Speaking to Ynet, Marzel said that "everything is being done to harm Sharon, the man who represents an existential threat to the State of Israel, and only a sick man could have carried out the disengagement."

He added: "The use of the prime minister's medical condition is a legitimate part of the elections campaign."
