MK Eldad: Yaalon was dismissed for Hamas statement
Knesset Member Arieh Eldad (National Union-National Religious Party) said in response to former IDF chief of staff Moshe Yaalon’s statement that “the pullout was initiated and carried out by Likud, Kadima and Labor, and they are responsible for Hamas’ rise to power.”
Yaalon said that radical Islamists view Hamas’ victory as another stage in the conquest of the West.
“Now it is clear why Omri Sharon (Defense Minister) Shaul Mofaz and (Acting Prime Minister) Ehud Olmert dismissed Yaalon. He dared to tell the truth before disaster struck,” Eldad added. (Efrat Weiss)
